ABC’s Resurrection seems to add a twist with every new episode. rollanet While we’ve officially dubbed this show a sleeper hit, we think it’s growing a captive audience, as its supernatural essence is different from most of the pop-culture craze: zombies, vampires, and werewolves, oh my!
In this week’s episode, Margaret surprises rollanet us with her secret weapon to get rid of the Returned for good, and Bellamy comes down with a flu that doesn’t seem to have a cure. Let’s get right down to the dirty deets!
Baby mama drama. Just when Pastor Tom thinks things are going well, his world falls apart. He comes home from a nice service at his new church for the Returned to find Rachael sicker than ever. Her skin is pale, and she s bleeding from the mouth and nose. Tom and his wife (whom we are actually starting to like) take her to the clinic to see Maggie, only to be greeted by more sick Returned. Deputy Carl s asshole brother is also very sick, but is told he can be stabilized with the proper treatment. Carl s all like, Yeah sure I ll give him his medicine
Girls’ night! Barbara decides to find comfort in her messed-up life at the local bar where Elaine, Maggie’s bestie, works. Elaine feels bad for her and decides to sit with her and have a cocktail (or 10). Elaine calls Maggie and tells her to meet them at the bar, and while she’s hesitant at first, Maggie shows up and the girls actually have a good time. It was also a nice reminder for the audience that Barbara is super-young even younger rollanet than Maggie and Elaine. We remember when we were 22 or 23 (assuming that s Babs age), and let’s just say that no woman should ever be judged for the choices she makes before she s 25.
Don t mess with Margaret. No, seriously. Margaret is still not over the fact that Barbara is back in Fred s life (again). She commends Lucille for her drunken outburst at the most awkward family dinner ever, and she also tries to console in Maggie. Mags tells Maggie (try saying that 10 times fast) that she found Babs (in barely any clothes) with Fred after visiting him that morning. Mags confesses that she’s worried Barbara will break his heart. After Maggie visits her dad and mom, she finds that they are actually really happy and just enjoying living in the now. They all rent a movie from Apple TV and make dad s homemade chili, and all is good in the world. Maggie tells her grandma to cool it, but we all know that only fueled the fire.
Bye bye, Babs. After hearing about how everything is hunky-dory at Fred’s place, Mags decides to take a midnight stroll over to see Barbara and convinces her
