A mummy 5600 years, belonging to the predynastic period has recently been found in Egypt. The discovery occurred in the town of Kom al Ahmar, between Luxor and Aswan, the site of Hierakonpolis, could cause a repositioning in the history of Egyptian civilization, the newspaper reported "Ahram".
The sarcophagus was found accidentally while archaeologists conducted excavations in the tomb, supposedly built during the reign of Narmer, the first pharaoh of Ancient Egypt and founder of the First Dynasty in 3050 BC However, the surprise came when analyzes revealed that the material found the tomb was 500 years older.
The mummy corresponded to a young boy of about 18 years and, according to sources from the Ministry of Antiquities of Egypt, could have been a local governor. Among the many objects unearthed, had ivory combs, tools, knives, arrowheads, and a small figurine ivory figure first dance wedding songs of a bearded man.
