Project Shoebox is an outreach project that makes use of shoeboxes as containers for goods intended for the poor and needy of the Southern Luzon and Bicol regions. It is a joint project of the Sigma Alpha Sorority of Univer-sity of the Philippines Los Baños and the 4th Light Armor (Masigasig) Battalion, Light Armor Division nhs eportfolio of the Philippine Army.
The first leg of Project Shoebox begun in January 2012 and targeted indigent students. By July 2012, Pro-ject Shoebox had already benefited more than 15,095 students from Grades 1 to 6 in 64 schools in Laguna, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Albay, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, and Sorsogon. nhs eportfolio
